Answer each security question once.

Answerwell keeps your approved answers, evidence and owners in one library, drafts new SIG, CAIQ and custom questionnaires from it for your review, and tells you which answers have gone stale. Built for B2B SaaS teams without a dedicated security team.

Problem01 / 07

Why it hurts today

  1. P-01

Every enterprise deal brings a new questionnaire. A SIG, a CAIQ, or the buyer's own spreadsheet — different wording and formats, mostly the same questions you answered last quarter.

  2. P-02

The answers live in old spreadsheets and email threads. Someone — often the CTO or a founder — digs out last year's reply, guesses whether it's still true, and rewrites it by hand while the deal waits.

  3. P-03

Nobody owns the answer once it's sent. Policies, vendors and infrastructure change, but the copy-pasted answers don't, so the next questionnaire can repeat something that is no longer accurate.

Solution02 / 07

What Answerwell does

  • One approved answer library

Each answer has an owner, an approval date, the evidence behind it (policy, report, screenshot) and the questionnaires it was used in.

    B-01
  • Drafts, not auto-submits

Import an Excel or Word questionnaire and get a draft filled from your library, with each match shown next to its source. A person reviews every answer before anything leaves your team.

    B-02
  • Stale answers flagged

Set a review interval per answer. When it lapses, or when linked evidence changes, the owner is asked to confirm or update it.

    B-03

Process03 / 07

How it works

  1. Step 1: Import what you've already answered

Upload past questionnaires and policies. Answerwell splits them into question–answer pairs for you to approve into the library.

  2. Step 2: Assign owners and evidence

Give each answer an owner, a review interval and the documents that back it up.

  3. Step 3: Draft the next questionnaire

Upload the buyer's file. Answerwell proposes an answer for each question and marks the ones it couldn't match.

  4. Step 4: Review and export

Accept, edit or reject each draft, then export in the buyer's original format. New answers go back into the library.

Audience04 / 07

Who it's for

  • B2B SaaS companies of roughly 5–100 people selling to larger customers
  • CTOs and founders who answer security questionnaires themselves today
  • Sales engineers and account executives waiting on security answers to close a deal
  • The first security or compliance hire, inheriting a folder of old spreadsheets

FAQ06 / 07

Questions, answered

Q01 Will Answerwell fill in and submit questionnaires for me?

No. It drafts answers from your approved library and shows where each one came from. A person on your team reviews every answer before export, and Answerwell never sends anything to a customer. Accuracy of what you submit stays your responsibility.

Q02 Does it help me pass security reviews?

It helps you answer consistently and faster, from answers your team has already approved. It does not change your actual security controls, and no tool can guarantee a buyer's decision. Answerwell is not a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance platform and doesn't replace an auditor.

Q03 Which questionnaire formats will it support?

We're starting with Excel and Word files, which covers most custom questionnaires and the spreadsheet versions of the CAIQ (Cloud Security Alliance) and SIG (Shared Assessments). Online portals come later. You need your own access to licensed questionnaires such as the SIG; Answerwell doesn't include their content.

Q04 Where are our answers and documents stored?

The plan: data hosted with a major cloud provider, encrypted in transit and at rest, and private to your workspace. You'll be able to export everything and delete your workspace at any time. We'll publish the hosting region and subprocessors before launch.

Q05 Do AI models see our answers?

Matching against your library works without AI. For optional AI drafting we plan to use a third-party model API under terms that don't allow your data to be used for training, and you'll be able to switch it off per workspace. We will never use your answers to train models or share them with other customers.

Q06 How is this different from a trust center or compliance platform?

Those tools are built around audits and public security pages, and questionnaire automation is often part of larger plans priced through sales. Answerwell does one job — keeping your answers current and reusing them — at a price a small team can approve without procurement.

Q07 When will it be available?

Answerwell is in development. We'll onboard a small group of founding teams first. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when there is something to try.

Q08 Can I pre-order?

Yes. A pre-order charges the first month ($59) upfront. If Answerwell doesn't launch, you get a full refund, and you can ask for a full refund at any time before delivery, for any reason; we process refunds within 14 days.
